I’ve see the dark beneath the ground

Pinned it up and knocked it down

Spent a life time ignorin’ my fear

I’ve seen old friends fade away

Or worked to death for take home pay

And the big shots never shed a tear….unless the cameras on

So I send it up from ‘neath the ground

While they tear these mountains down

My families countin’ on me

Hell thats the way that it goes

This ain’t the life I would have chose

And still I try to believe…

They’ll come a day with the morning sun a risen

They’ll be no more left to haul away

And on that day, as they all fade in the horizon

But theres always one shift left til Judgement Day

Death of the Giant

Ronnie James Dio passed today as many of you already know. His music was a strong influence on me and his character in the music business was a rarity indeed. He will be truley missed. I saw him on the Last in line tour as well as Sacred heart. As a fan in the audience I never felt more appreciation from an artist than at those two concerts. He may have been small in stature as a man but he was a Giant in spirit. May he rest in peace cradled in that final rainbow he spoke of so often.

If I close my eyes I somehow seem to never find it

Always more inviting than the other girls around

The colors of a butterfly
